Meme coin explainer
Useless Coin (USELESS) is a Solana meme coin launched in May 2025 that openly promises nothing: no utility, no roadmap, no staking. People trade it because it moves, often 15% to 25% from the day’s low to its high, and on some days far more. If you want a piece of those swings without putting your savings into the useless coin itself, a small position on a $3,000 challenge account is the safer way to do it, as long as you size it in hundreds of dollars, not thousands.
What is Useless Coin? A meme that admits it does nothing
Most crypto projects spend pages explaining why their token is essential. USELESS went the other way. It launched on Solana in May 2025 through LetsBONK.fun, the meme coin launchpad of the Bonk community often called Bonk.fun, and built its whole identity on the joke that it has no purpose at all.
There is no product behind it, no revenue share and no promise of one. That honesty turned out to be the selling point. Within weeks of launch, the coin had gone from a fraction of a cent to around ten cents, and a loud community formed around the irony.
At the time of writing (early October 2026), USELESS trades at roughly $0.24. That number tells you very little on its own. What matters to a trader is how far it moves and how fast.
Why traders keep coming back to a coin with no use
A meme coin’s value comes from attention, and attention moves in waves. When USELESS trends on social media, buyers pile in within hours; when the crowd moves to the next joke, they leave just as fast. That rhythm produces exactly what short-term traders want: big moves in both directions and enough volume to get in and out.
Fundex24 traders noticed. Over the last 45 days, USELESS was the second most-traded meme coin on the platform by number of positions, behind only the newly listed MARSCOIN, whose first weeks we covered in a look at newly listed meme coins. The full September ranking is in our meme coin trader report.
None of this says USELESS will go up. Popularity among traders means it is liquid and volatile, which is a reason to trade it carefully, not a reason to hold it.
How wild is USELESS? Thirty days in numbers
We measured the 30 days to October 2, 2026 on Binance futures daily candles, the same prices the Fundex24 terminal follows.
- The average gap between a day’s high and low was about 23%. For Bitcoin over the same days it was under 3%.
- On 28 of the 30 days, that range was 10% or more.
- On September 3, the coin closed 69% above the previous day’s close. Six days later it fell 21% in one session.
A move that Bitcoin makes in a bad month, USELESS makes before lunch. That is the whole appeal, and it is also how accounts get blown in an afternoon.

Sizing USELESS on a $3,000 account: think in hundreds
A $3,000 challenge account fails if equity drops $150 in a day or $300 in total. Those are the only two numbers you need to see why the usual instinct, buy a big bag and wait, does not work here.
The size that breaks the account
Imagine a $500 short opened on September 2 with no stop, betting that the coin was due for a pullback. The next day’s 69% jump would have cost about $345, more than the entire $300 maximum loss. One trade, one day, account over. Put the full $3,000 into it and even an ordinary 5% move hits the daily limit.
The size that survives
Same $500, but with a stop loss 8% from entry. If the coin runs against you, the loss stops around $40. Three of those in one day still come to $120, under the $150 daily limit. On the other side, catching a 24% day like September 22 on a $500 long would have made about $120, which is 40% of the $300 Step 1 target.
A rule of thumb that holds up: on USELESS, use a position a third to a half of what you would use on DOGE, and decide the stop before you decide the entry. Our meme coin risk management guide goes deeper into wicks and stop placement. You can watch the live USELESS/USDT chart to see what a normal day looks like before you size anything.
The challenge rules USELESS tests first
Fast coins expose rules that slow coins never touch. Four matter most on this one.

The 60% rule is the one USELESS traders hit by accident. Step 1’s target on $3,000 is $300, so a single trade that makes $180 or more does not count toward it. On a $500 position, that is a 36% move, which USELESS has delivered several times in a month. A lucky monster win is nice to see, but it will not pass the step for you.
The second trap is speed. Profit from any trade held under 5 minutes is not counted toward the target. It is not a violation, but grabbing a quick spike and closing straight away adds nothing to your progress.
Trading Useless Coin without your own money
The cheapest start is free. Once you sign up for Fundex24, you can open a practice account with $10,000 in virtual funds and leverage up to 1:10 for 3 days. Spend that time on USELESS with the $500 size and see how often your stop gets touched.
If you then want a real evaluation, the $3,000 challenge costs a one-time $29. Two steps, a 10% and then an 8% target, at least 5 valid trading days in each, no deadline. Pass both and you can request a funded account, which is a simulated account with an 80% profit split for you. The full cost of trading meme coins this way is laid out in a separate guide, and the Fundex24 FAQ covers the account questions.
Be realistic: most people who buy a challenge fail it, and the volatility that makes USELESS exciting is a big part of why. The fee is the most you can lose, but it is still money. Nothing here is a promise of profit, and you should check the rules that apply where you live.

Questions about Useless Coin
Is Useless Coin a scam?
It does not pretend to be anything, which is unusual. But a coin with no product depends entirely on attention, and attention can vanish. Treat it as a pure speculation, never as savings.
Which blockchain is USELESS on?
Solana. It was launched in May 2025 through the LetsBONK.fun launchpad.
Can I short USELESS?
Yes. On a Fundex24 challenge or funded account you can open long or short positions on USELESS/USDT, with the same rules as any other market.
Why is my USELESS win not counting toward the target?
Most likely the trade made 60% or more of the stage’s target on its own, or it was closed within 5 minutes. Neither fails the account, but neither profit counts.
How big should a first USELESS position be?
On a $3,000 account, around $300 to $500 with a stop 6% to 10% away keeps one bad trade well inside the $150 daily limit. Go smaller until you have watched a few of its days.
